The best evenings begin on the sauna bench, in good company. At Savutuvan Apaja, the sauna experience means authentic Finnish sauna culture on the shores of Lake Päijänne. From the gentle steam of the smoke sauna to the warmth of the lakeside jacuzzi and the cool embrace of the lake.
Our sauna facilities can be used individually or combined for sauna events of up to 200 guests. All year round.
All saunas hold the Authentic Finnish Sauna Experience Nature certificate, awarded by Sauna from Finland.
Savotta sauna & Lakeside Jacuzzis
On the shores of Lake Päijänne, Savotta Sauna offers a sauna experience right at the water’s edge. In summer, cool off in the lake and warm up in the Drop Design lakeside jacuzzi. In winter, take a refreshing dip in the ice hole. Please confirm ice hole availability in advance.

Smoke Sauna
An authentic Finnish smoke sauna, heated with patience and care for 5–6 hours using hardwood logs. The smoke sauna is an experience unlike any other. Gentle steam, the scent of the sauna and silence all around. Always booked together with Savotta Sauna.

- No showers — washing by traditional basin method; showers available at Savotta Sauna

The smoke sauna is always booked together with Savotta Sauna. Changing and shower facilities are located in the adjacent building. Explore the floor plan to get a feel for the full sauna experience before you arrive.
Torppa Saunas & Lakeside Jacuzzis
The gates of Lankomiehen torppa open to a truly unique atmosphere. Two saunas, two lakeside jacuzzis and a private courtyard with a fire pit make Torppa the perfect setting for a group who wants to sauna in complete privacy. Access to Lake Päijänne all year round. Please confirm ice hole availability in winter.

Good to know
- Our sauna facilities do not have separate changing or shower rooms for men and women
- Everyone always has their own privacy when changing. Bathing can also be arranged in turns if preferred. Most of our groups enjoy mixed bathing in swimwear.
- All sauna facilities have a licence to serve alcohol
- Towels, sauna seat covers and toiletries are included in the price
- Saunas are booked for two hours as standard. Please let us know if you would like a longer session.
- Groups of fewer than seven guests have access to one lakeside jacuzzi when jacuzzis are included in the booking
