M/S Apaja – Cruises
Savutuvan Apaja is located on the shore of Lake Päijänne, the longest and deepest lake in Finland, at the northern tip of a peninsula where four waterways converge. By water, it's only 4km away from Jyväskylä, passing through Äijälänjoki and Lake Jyväsjärvi. This water route was called Jyväsjoki, and accordingly, Jyväskylä was known as the village of Jyväsjoki.
Savutuvan Apaja's own ship, M/S Apaja, transports groups upon request. The cruise offers the opportunity to admire stunning landscapes right from the beginning of the journey upon arrival, or to enjoy the atmosphere of the midnight sun on the way from Apaja to the hotel. Additionally, you can experience unforgettable themed cruises during recreational days.
M/S Apaja
M/S Apaja is Savutuvan Apaja’s own passenger ship, accommodating approximately 30-40 people. M/S Apaja cruises by reservation and gladly facilitates transportation from Jyväskylä Harbor or its nearby docks to your event and back. Additionally, M/S Apaja offers inland waterway cruises and organizes themed cruises upon request.

Leave your cars directly at the hotel parking lots or come directly from train station to the harbor, as boat transportation between Jyväskylä Harbor or its nearby docks and Savutupa Apaja is available upon request as a round-trip option as well.
Hop aboard M/S Apaja from Jyväskylä Harbor or perhaps from the dock of Finlandia Hotel Alba, and sail towards your event at Savutuvan Apaja. Enjoy a carefree meeting, evening gathering, or any other event with us and return to the departure point by water.

- Basically, the ship departs at the agreed time, so make sure that your group is in the right place at the right time.
- We hope that the group leader will introduce him/herself to the ship’s staff as soon as s/he arrives.
- Only card payment works on board.
- The ship’s bar serves you throughout the cruise.
- The ship is entirely a drinking area, so bringing your own drinks on board is prohibited.

- Please note the weather/storm reservation for ship cruises. When Päijänte has been given a strong wind warning (average wind 14 m/s or more) or other extreme weather situation (strong thunderstorm, etc.), the transport can be canceled or postponed.
