Apaja has been awarded the Rôtisseurs shield on Friday 14.5.2021. This recognition for the restaurant is a sign of the high level of food, ingredients and service.
Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is an international gastronomic organization. Their mission is to bring together enthusiasts and professionals in the restaurant field. Through its activities, the organization promotes and nurtures the national food culture and encourages the development of young professional chefs and wine professionals. The organization actively cooperates not only with professionals and enthusiasts, but also with educational institutions in this field.
The values of the Savutuvan Apaja and the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs meet in many ways. We both want to create unique experiences with high quality food and drink. Local co-operation is important to us and co-operation with educational institutions is also an essential part of Savutuvan Apaja’s activities. We feel that we have an important role to play in enabling young professionals to become top experts in the restaurant industry, for example in the form of high-quality and varied on-the-job learning. At Savutuvan Apaja, in addition to locality and student cooperation, we also cherish various production methods, especially open fire, charcoal and smoke, which are also characteristic of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
For us it is important that the food we provide for our guests is delicious, and above all safe. We are inspired continuously to maintain the levels of our restaurant services, and meet the requirements and regulations set by Evira, the Finnish Food Safety Authority.
